Mission Control: Difference between Starter & Enterprise Tier

Overview

Mission Control is Wingmate's analytics and reporting engine, giving your team the ability to build custom data sources, dashboards, and visualisations from your pipeline data. It is available in two tiers Starter and Enterprise. Each level offers a different level of capability. This article explains what each tier includes and where they differ.

What is Mission Control?

Mission Control lets you connect your Wingmate data to a reporting layer where you can build dashboards, charts, and custom reports. At its core, it works with Data Sources, queries that define which data is pulled in and how it is structured, and Dashboards that visualise that data for your team.

Data Sources are listed in the Mission Control interface, showing the source name, the data it connects to (such as Leads, Users, or Ownerships), the author who created it, the last modified date, and actions you can take on it.

The Two Tiers at a Glance

Data Sources

Data Sources are the foundation of Mission Control. They define what data is queried and how it is structured before being used in dashboards or reports.

Starter Tier

On the Starter tier, users can view and work with data sources that have already been created and shared with them. They can filter the sources list using the All, User, and Group tabs to find relevant sources, and export selected items. However, they cannot create new sources from scratch.

Enterprise Tier

Enterprise tier users have full control over data sources. The Create Source button in the top-right of the Data Sources page is available, allowing them to build new sources from scratch. When creating a source, they can connect to a wide range of Wingmate data types — including Leads, Users, and Ownerships — and combine multiple connections in a single source.

Permissions

The Permissions column in the Data Sources list shows a shield icon for each source. This column controls who has access to view or use a given source.

Starter Tier

Starter users can see the permissions shield but cannot manage or change permissions on data sources. Access to sources is determined by whoever created or shared the source.

Enterprise Tier

Enterprise users can click the shield icon — which surfaces a Manage Permissions tooltip — to open the permissions panel for any source they own. From there they can assign access to specific users or groups, controlling exactly who on the team can see and use each data source.

Actions on Data Sources

The Actions column on the right of each data source row contains the tools you can use to manage that source. The icons available differ by tier.

Dashboards

Both tiers give users access to dashboards, but Enterprise unlocks the ability to build fully custom dashboards from your own data sources.
