Wingmate Outlook: How to Add a New Lead from an Email

Overview

Wingmate’s Outlook add-in allows users to seamlessly connect their email workflow with Wingmate’s CRM.

With the Outlook add-in, users can manage and track client communication directly within Outlook, without switching between platforms.

With Wingmate for Outlook, you can:

  • Automatically track outbound email communication to your clients as soon as it is sent

  • Manually log inbound emails into Wingmate with a single click

  • View recent lead activities and updates through the Wingmate task pane inside Outlook

This integration helps ensure that all communication is captured and visible in your sales pipeline.

 


How to Add a New Lead from an Email

 

Step 1: Log in to Outlook and Open an Email

  1. Log in to your Outlook account with either Microsoft 365 or Personal Outlook
  2. Click on any existing email or create a new email

 

Step 2: Open Wingmate Add-in

  1. Click on Apps
  2. Search for Wingmate
  3. Click to open the Wingmate add-in

 

Step 3: Log in and Connect Wingmate

  1. Log in to your Wingmate account
  2. Click Connect
  3. Ensure you connect using the same Outlook account

Step 4: Create a New Lead

  1. Click New Lead in the Wingmate panel

 

Step 5: Enter Lead Information and Submit the Lead

  1. Edit Lead Name or input required details
  2. Fill in all mandatory fields
  3. Click Add Lead

 

Step 6: Verify Lead and Contact in Wingmate

  1. Search for the newly created lead in Wingmate
  2. Contact appears in the Contact section of the Lead
  3. The email address from Outlook is automatically added as the Primary Contact

 


Tips & Best Practices

  • Always ensure you are logged into the same Outlook account when connecting to avoid permission errors
  • If the Add Lead button is disabled, check for missing required fields
  • Verify the contact is correctly linked to avoid duplicate records
